George Lucas has provided us with a sprawling, endless universe of people and aliens alike, planets, droids, and the Force. Everyone knows the stories of the Old Republic, Darth Vader, and Luke Skywalker. Everyone knows about the Clone Wars and the Yuuzhan Vong.

But what if none of that mattered?

Here, you'll still find the Galactic Republic. There are still Sith and Jedi. Smugglers are still transporting goods along the Kessel Run and there are still those opposing the government. But that's just the daily grind here in the Galaxy. There's no Clone War on the horizon, no threat of galactic annihilation. It's just life.

The Galaxy is a completely AU RPG set in the Star Wars universe. Here, the events that take place in the Star Wars canon have never happened and, instead, life simply goes on in the galaxy as humans and other beings alike all try to eke out a living in their universe. Absolutely no knowledge of the films, video games, books, or comics are required.

Don't be a jerk. Save the OOC drama for your mama or... whatever. Don't be a thief. Follow general rp etiquette.

Be Active. Players are required to update their characters every four weeks. This means either take part in a thread, a substantial personal journal entry, or frequent use of the holonet.

Be Legit. Since this is Star Wars, "realism" is kind of relative, but try to stick to what makes sense. Twi'leks and humans can't have babies, people can't speak Wookiee and vice versa, etc. Be mindful of the rules of different cultures/groups (i.e. the Jedi don't marry/have relationships, they don't take in older children, and padawans aren't chosen past the age of 13).

Characters and Journals. As of right now, there is no character limit so long as you can be active with all of your characters. Journals can either be some version of a character's name, or it can be descriptive of the character. Try to refrain from extensive underscores and frivolous x's.

Played-Bys. We're employing the FIVE YEAR RULE, meaning your character's age can be no more than 5 years older or younger than that of your PB. PBs from the Star Wars saga are allowed, so long as their counterparts aren't carbon copies of their canon characters. Artwork from the Star Wars franchise is allowed as well (for example, you can use pictures of Ahsoka Tano for a Togruta in this game).

We understand that the universe of Star Wars is really, really, really big and that can be a little intimidating! That said, we're providing you guys with a list of... lists and other helpful pages from Wookieepedia to help you out.


Bounty Hunters/Smugglers - For the scruffy/not-so-savory types.

Coruscant - The Galactic Capitol and the main "HQ" of the game. This city world is what your character will have to have at least one connection to.

Credits - The currency used in the galaxy. This is what characters make/steal/etc. instead of "money".

The Force - What makes a Jedi so darn awesome. And, you know, what some other people in the galaxy call plain B.S.

The Galactic Republic - The ruling government in the galaxy. Includes information on the legislative, executive, and judicial branches if you're looking to play a politician, as well as info on the military.

The Galaxy - The... galaxy where everything takes place. This page lists planets, traffic routes, and offers information on government, economics, and species.

The Jedi Order - For those who wish to play Jedi characters.

Near-Humans - species that closely resemble humans.

Separatists - A group of planets, sectors, and individuals who are planning to leave the Galactic Republic due to the excessive taxation. (Kind of like the Confederacy in American history.)

The Sith - For the bad guys!

Starships - The vehicles used to travel around the galaxy.
